President’s New Year’s Day Concert
Miss Tanya Bayona was invited to choreograph excerpts from the ballet Faust by Gounod for annual New Year’s Concert under the auspicies of the President of the Republic of Malta held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. The dancers taking part were the senior members of The Brigitte Gauci Borda School of Ballet with the guest appearance of the Maltese male dancer and soloist Dorian Mallia who is now dancing professionally in Italy.
The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by the resident Conductor Maestro Michael Laus, played well known classical and light music.
